Fifteen food trucks, fourteen wineries, and plenty of music–oh my! The Fifth Annual Hill Country Food Truck Festival took place on Saturday, June 23rd, in Luckenbach. Proceeds benefitted the proposed Texas Center for Wine and Culinary Arts. While it can be hot in the kitchen, it was even hotter that day, but plenty of people showed up to show their love for the culinary arts and music. Also braving the heat were representatives of the Texas Department of Agriculture, Luckenbach, TX, City of Fredericksburg, Fredericksburg Convention and Visitor Bureau, Texas Hill Country Wineries, Class A Rentals, Fredericksburg Inn and Suites, San Antonio Food Truck Association, HCM Immediate Care, Allied Ag and the Texas Center for Wine and Culinary Arts.
One of the most wonderful aspects of life in Gillespie County is not just the number of happenings but is also the participation of the locals and various organizations. Five years running, the Food Truck Fest is a must do for all foodie and music lovers. And after the wonderful food and music, there was nothing better than a good old-fashioned ice cream cone.
Hope to see you next year at the Sixth Annual Hill Country Food Truck Festival.
